In Deuteronomy 6:4–7, parents are instructed to teach their children about God diligently, “when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” This command places the primary responsibility of faith development in the hands of parents, encouraging everyday moments to become sacred opportunities for discipleship.
Jesus echoes this call in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19–20, where He instructs His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” That call to make disciples begins in our own homes, with our own children.

I developed Little Moments, Big Faith out of a deep burden I carried as a children’s pastor. I saw so many parents who wanted to disciple their kids but simply didn’t know where to begin. They weren’t confident in their faith and often leaned on the church to do it for them, but Scripture is clear that the call to disciple our kids belongs to parents (Deuteronomy 6, Matthew 28).
I tried my best to equip parents in ministry, but I struggled to find resources that easily fit into their busy lives. Knowing both child development and faith development helped me understand how to disciple kids at different phases, and I realized if parents had that same insight, they too could have the confidence to disciple their kids.
I created this course for families—whether you're part of a church or not—because I want these tools to be accessible to everyone.
